Getting treatment, especially in a foreign country, can be daunting. Yet the decision to enter a rehab facility is an essential first step towards recovery and wellness. At Hesten Hill Rehab Thailand, we know how difficult these moments are – and we go the extra mile to support you through every step of the process. We make sure that every practical concern is taken care of, so you can focus on what’s most important – your recovery.
Here’s a step-by-step look at our admission process:
1
Get in touch
When you contact us by phone or email, we’ll walk you through everything that is offered at our centre, and answer any questions you may have about our facilities, treatment programmes, and costs. Your privacy is important to us, so you can rest assured that everything you tell us will remain fully confidential.
By contacting us, you have accepted that you need help. That admission takes courage, and is an important first step towards recovery. The journey is just beginning, but we will be there to guide you.
2
Phone assessment
After you make initial contact and learn about our facilities and treatment programmes, one of our counsellors will follow up with you.
This part of the process will help us get more in-depth information so that we can understand you better on a personal level. Our counsellor will inquire about your medical history and your particular behavioural or substance abuse issues in order to recommend the most appropriate treatment programme and tailor it to suit your needs.
3
Registration, deposit, and preparations
Our admissions team will send you all the necessary registration documents. As soon as you have paid the 25% deposit, we will assist you in obtaining a visa and making your travel plans.
The 25% deposit payment secures your spot in the programme. We require full payment before your arrival, but should you decide to leave the programme within seven days of your arrival, we will offer you a pro-rata refund. The 25% deposit, however, is non-refundable.
4
Your arrival in Chiang Mai
Upon your arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, one of our staff members will be there to greet you and take you to our centre. We’ll help you with your luggage, and you’ll be driven to Hesten Hill Rehab in a private vehicle. The journey should take about 40 minutes.
5
Your arrival at Hesten Hill Rehab
Upon your arrival, we will keep your phone, wallet, passport, and other valuable items in a secure location. We will also conduct a bag search and remove any prohibitive items you may have. For a list of items you should not carry with you, please see our FAQ page.
Before we start your treatment, you will undergo a full medical and psychological evaluation from our onsite doctor, followed by an additional evaluation from our psychiatrist.
If needed, you will then enter our detox programme. In severe cases, the detox period may be carried out at the Chiang Mai Ram Hospital – our partner and one of the leading hospitals in Thailand. Once detox is complete – or if you do not require detox – you will be checked-in to your modern treatment resort facility, and your main treatment programme can begin.
